11th June 2015

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

For part of our 'Creatures' theme this term we have organised a trip for Classes 1 & 2 to visit Oriel y Parc Gallery in St David's and explore nature trails near Brawdy Airfield with the help of the National Park education supervisors on Friday 19th June 2015.

The gallery is exhibiting a collection of artwork and scientific studies about Alfred Russell Wallace and hi work. Through one of the sessions the children will be investigating the gallery and creating their own artwork / craft with Mrs Le Britton- Booth.

The other session will be exploring nature trails around Brawdy and learning more about the habitat of Skylarks.

The children will be transported by coach, leaving Orielton School at 9am. Please make every effort to ensure your child is in school before 9am on this day. We will return to school before the end of the school day. There will be no cooked dinners available from the school canteen as children will be out the whole day, please have your child bring packed lunch & plenty to drink. Also, children should be wearing school uniform & sensible footwear. Also depending on the weather, have coat, hat and suncream.

There is a cost of £3.50 per child for the trip. Please could you indicate on the slips as to whether you would like your child to take past in this trip.

Best wishes

Mr T. Reed
